The Chiltern Medical Clinics give you access to an expert team of medical aesthetic doctors, specialists and skilled laser therapists and aestheticians who sit at the front-line of cosmetic medicine. When you come to us for your cosmetic treatment, you can be assured with the knowledge that we are members of leading professional bodies, including the General Medical Council, and that both our clinics are regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

There is a fine line in determining whether a procedure is cosmetic or medically necessary. This is known to be the case in the field of dermatology and skin health. People feel undoubtedly safer and confident of achieving a positive result knowing that their procedure has been carried out by medical doctors who are highly trained and fully regulated. This is despite the vast availability of facial aesthetics and cosmetic procedures carried out in salons.

This is the core reasoning behind the establishment of the Chiltern Medical Clinics. We offer you a safe, welcoming and non-corporate environment where you can receive cosmetic treatment and be confident that you are in the hands of experienced medical professionals.

We have two Chiltern Medical Clinics – one based in Goring-on-Thames and the other in central Reading. As both clinics share a central diary system and our expert team of doctors and laser therapists work across both locations, you can contact either clinic at any time and expect the same seamless and professional experience.

You’re welcome to choose either location for most treatments, regardless of which contact number you call to book your initial consultation. Our central database means that we can access your confidential notes from either location, giving you the utmost flexibility and choice about when and where you receive your treatment.

Both of our clinics are regulated by the Care Quality Commission. They offer attractive, bright and modern waiting spaces, comfortable seating, state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, and a warm welcome at all times.

The Chiltern Medical Clinic is a family-run business with a medical background that welcomes patients of all ages for treatment of a wide range of dermatological and skin health issues. The clinic was founded by our Medical Director, Dr Niall Munnelly, who qualified as a medical doctor in Dublin, Ireland, in 1990. We don’t have shareholders, creditors or pressure to widen our margins allowing our approach to be safe, amicable and non-corporate.

Evaluating doctors is a difficult process so it’s understandable that patients, and indeed other doctors, rely heavily on word of mouth recommendations and reputation when deciding who to receive treatment by or making referrals. We are proud to say that we have a high volume of doctors and their families amongst our patient database, many of whom travel from various areas of the country to visit us. This is due to Dr Munnelly and each individual within our team of experts who are renowned for their personalised care, training and clinical excellence.

We perform only proven, tried and tested treatment modalities but we are also always looking out for new treatment methods. We attend conferences internationally, invest in ongoing training and development, and keep abreast of changes in our field so that you can benefit from the most appropriate and effective treatment methods. We won’t promise you miracles, push untried treatments or steer you in a direction that isn’t right for you because we care about your physical problems and their emotional impact.

We do not employ sales people to sell our treatments. All consultations are carried out by doctors, nurses or highly experienced laser therapists. We will only ever recommend treatments that we feel are right for you and will provide you with a solution. Skin problems, lines and wrinkles, and issues such as stubborn areas of body fat, sagging eyelids, excessive sweating or hair growth, can all impact on your confidence and it’s important to us that you are able to voice your feelings.
Our medical team will endeavour you feel acknowledged, consulted and empowered. For us, no problem is too big or small. We also want you to leave your treatment feeling like the best version of yourself and satisfied with the result.

We use top-of-the-range equipment for all the treatments we offer, including the newest generation lasers and technology.
